How Accreditation Verification Works
Verification is performed by an independent, licensed CPA — not by VerifyAccredited. Here is how it works:
- Create a free account using basic information.
- Securely upload your documents (such as tax returns, W‑2s, K‑1s, or bank and brokerage statements) that demonstrate your accredited‑investor status.
- A licensed CPA will verify your accreditation under SEC Regulation D Rule 506(c)/506(d).
- Receive your CPA‑issued verification letter — typically within 48 hours — ready to use with any Rule 506(c) issuer.
A licensed CPA will verify your accreditation independently. VerifyAccredited provides the secure technology portal that routes your request to the CPA and delivers your completed letter.
